Follow the money

Watch the Chinese government now. Execute one or two, make the world think that the government is serious about food/drug quality but remember just who the government is. They are communists and they have an agenda that is not in alignment with the free market world. They will do what they can to make their ends and their wants be met.

Alien bill

Lou Dobbs has it right, this congress is in a mess, totally not responsive to the American working person. How can our congress be seriously considering amnesty? You've heard me say it before, follow the money. Who does the bill favor? Business. Why pay 15-20 hr when you can pay $8.50hr.
For you north Fulton Co. Georgia drivers on GA400. How about slowing down a bit. You in the silver Escalade, just because you can afford a monster of a car doesn't mean you own the road. If I'd tapped my brakes this a.m. you'd have been up my pipes. Yeah, you'd be ok, but you'd be cited, "failure to yield"
All of you other idiots out there thinking that passing me at 80 in the middle lanes is going to be good are clueless. Get off of the phones, concentrate on driving. I don't care if you go 80 but the conditions are not conducive most of the time on GA 400 for those speeds. I know, "you can't tell me how to drive, asshole!"
Georgia DOT I feel has lost its grip on how to manage driver training, the roads, and anything to do with safe and orderly flow of terrible traffic. And where are the cops? We need some kind of a new traffic cop, not regular cops who need to be bad ass types; we need cops that regulate and control the traffic. Times are different and time for someone in government to come up with workable solutions. Have you tried to get through to a human lately in the GA DOT? Not too likely.

Good deal from China

Toy scare from China? Is it any wonder? Food products for pets, food for humans and now toys. If you know anything about China it's the money! Follow the money. They don't care what the products are or made of, just sell, sell. And who buys most of this stuff from China? You, me and the rest of the gang.
Where is our governmant? Follow the money!
Until there is a mass killing from tainted food products or a senior politician's son/dau dies due to tainted toothpast or a lead based toy, nothing is going to happen. Our government is so bloated that it will take weeks to even start the ball rolling and then someone will say, "good job Brownie."
I would say China is the most corrupt gov't in the world today and we continue to smile.

Hot now, summer in the city

Looks like my first attempt at this blog went out there. I'll be checking in with my comments from time to time. Lots to say, and hope for some feedback. I don't want to fight for feedback! Please, no comments on my grammar or usage. I know, I'm not the sharpest pencil in the class but I did make it through a few colleges, not surprising to me but to others! Oh, yes, I just found the spell checker. We might enjoy this exercise in pushing out thoughts.
I like the choice of fonts! Can play around with this.
So, off to eat breaki.

Hot now, summer in the city

A warm Saturday starting early. The lack of rain here in the Atlanta area is really affecting most of us. No watering of gardens, no washing cars/bikes, etc...Having grown up with not even thinking of water usage, now it's a really wierd thing to have to think about water. Someone is probably stockpiling water now. If our city, state, and fed gov't folk don't start thinking of how to increase supply, not depending on weather and climate, we're in for it. The technology is out there to create fresh water from the sea; let's do it. Don't wait until we're paying to have a drink of water.
Now a little rant about family issues. 22 yr old daughter, product of an alienating mother, going off to interview for her first real job. Makes me remember vividly how motivated she was prior to the divorce. She was always on the go, couldn't accept no for an answer, was a natural leader of those younger than herself and now is a teacher. Any wonder she's an early childhood teacher; about the age she was when her mother and I divorced. And all through the years she's been very difficult to keep in touch, feeling I was the bad guy. One day she'll get it, I hope. In the meantime I move on.
What about that action over in the sandbox? Is it time to pull out? As a former mil mbr, I have conflicting feelings. Yes, death of our troops due to simplistic technology while our technology can fly in with almost pin point accuracy, is frustrating, the real issue I believe is when does a commander in chief realize he has made errors and to correct them. Looking at our current commander and realizing his family history and military pilot history, gives me insight into why he can't change his mind or change course. He was steeped very deeply in a culture that said he "could do it" or be the decider and to change his mind after all that has gone before would severely impact his psyche in a negative manner. Of course his mil leaders long ago should have railed (sp) against him and that's another long topic.
